Where to Stay

Bungay was once the home of a man who might be described as “the saint of sleep”! When a wealthy local solicitor, Frederick Smith’s wife became ill, the clatter of horses and carts on the cobbles below her bedroom, disturbed her sleep. Smith paid for the cobbles to be re-paved with cork bricks to muffle the noise.

There is a choice of stylish accommodation available in the Town itself and also in the neighbouring villages – whether you are looking for a Hotel, Bed & Breakfast, Self-Catering or Camping there is something to suit all preferences and all purses and we are always looking for owners who offer holiday accommodation for visitors to Bungay

Whether you’re here for an overnight stay, a short break or a longer holiday, it’s easy to find the perfect place to stay, ideal for some rest and relaxation after a busy day sightseeing or shopping.
