An exhibition to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of Queen Victoria in 1819 and the impact of the reign on the people of Bungay and the surrounding villages

VICTORIAN BUNGAY AND AREA

FRIDAY May 24th (200 years from the birth of Queen Victoria)

PREVIEW EVENING with SPEAKER (Dressed as Queen Victoria) AND RECEPTION, at 7.30pm (No admission fee but places should be booked in advance)

 OPEN EACH DAY THEREAFTER UNTIL SUNDAY June 2nd.

10.00am until 4.00pm, ENTRANCE FREE-BUT DONATIONS WELCOME FOR EXPENSES, FUTURE FUNDING AND LOCAL CHARITIES

  • Exhibition comprising many photographs from the museum, featuring businesses, sport, school and town events.
  •  Embroideries, Textiles, Farm Equipment, Toys,
  • Clothes, Music, and Architecture.
  • Profiles of local Victorian Characters, and Rural Myths

 

EXTRA EVENTS

  • SATURDAY 25TH MAY AT 10.30am

A WALK ROUND VICTORIAN BUNGAY (£5)

WITH CHRIS REEVE, LOCAL HISTORIAN

  • SUNDAY MAY 26TH AT 4.15pm

AFTERNOON TEA AND ENTERTAINMENT (£5)
