Lovingly & sympathetically converted from domestic quarters, The Old Pump House is accessed via 13 steps into a Victorian brick courtyard.The property retains many characterful and original features, like parts of the original pump mechanism in the lounge/dining area. The high ceilings, the inglenook fireplace in the bedroom and country furniture all combine to provide a relaxed ‘lived in’ comfortable atmosphere.

Very experienced in the hospitality world, I have offered Bed & Breakfast to guests for thirty years. Prior to that I grew-up on a small holding in Norfolk helping my family to look after guests from the Farm holiday guide.

Now offering rooms only as there are many good cafes in the town, only five /ten minutes walk away.

Guests have the use of the Kitchen to eat take away meals, and other facilities include a shared sitting room and a very pretty garden to sit in, parking, own room keys and best of all no curfew!

We are pleased to accommodate guests needing an early start, runners,cyclists etc .

We offer the following accommodation:-

One double en suite bedroom upstairs.
One twin room downstairs.
One single room.

The 2 downstairs rooms are not en suite, but have basins in each room,a shared shower room, and two toilets.

All rooms benefit from tv, wifi and tea/coffee making facilities.

The tariff reflects the facilities offered,prices start at £24 per night (single room) Weekly terms available.

The building is a Suffolk Pink Grade 2 listed farmhouse with a downstairs en suite bedroom opening onto the garden. The first floor is a traditional farmhouse bedroom with en suite, and delightful views.

The historic town of Bungay is a 5-minute drive away, where you will find delightful tea rooms, pubs and interesting independent shops. Southwold, Aldeburgh and Minsmere are all within a 30 minute drive
